Licensed Psychoanalyst

Andi Lyn Kornfeld is the Clinical Director and Founder of Gotham MFT, Pllc and a New York State Licensed Psychoanalyst.   She supervises and leads a team of several psychotherapists as well as devoting herself full time to her own independent practice.  Andi also serves as the Assistant Institute Director, Licensed Psychoanalyst Program for the Contemporary Freudian Society in New York City.  Andi is a graduate of the Adult Psychoanalysis training program at the Psychoanalytic Association of NY (PANY), affiliated with NYU Medical School.

Andi has extensive pre-and post-graduate training in individual, couples, and group psychotherapy. After completion of her clinical training at St. Luke’s Psychiatry Department, Andi joined the staff at St. Mark’s Institute of Mental Health, where she treated individuals and families. In addition, she was the clinician for the US Probation Department’s Re-Entry Program, treating individuals, families, and conducting group therapy to lower rates of recidivism of non-violent offender participants before stepping down to dedicate herself to private practice full time and to pursue post-grad psychoanalytic study leading to her earned distinctions above.

Prior to Andi’s post-graduate clinical training, she spent over fifteen years as a Senior Leader in Financial Services, primarily Capital Markets. Andi brings a vast and deep knowledge of the vicissitudes of career and executive life to her practice and finds that it enables her to best work with all that seek her expertise.

In her private practice, Andi specializes in working with people who are committed to relieving their emotional difficulties through self-exploration under the guidance of a highly trained professional. Andi specializes in working with adults who desire for a better understanding of themselves and look for freedom in how they feel and what they do in their world.

Andi also offers performance coaching for executives looking to optimize their leadership skills for themselves and their teams’ success. She is available to work with individuals, partners, and groups within your enterprise.
